Abhivyakti Garba Mahotsav

Today it is like through ‘Abhivyakti Garba Mahotsav’ Navratri dance festival has gone global. People from Bhopal, Indore and Jaipur wait for complete year for this festival. Abhivyakti Garba Mahotsav is a community in itself wherein people are connected since last 19 years and this community is increasing in size every year. Abhivyakti has seen young girls getting married becoming mothers and coming back to the same event with their children. Its actually overwhelming to see the kind of relatedness it has created in all the 3 centers Bhopal, Indore & Jaipur. From group’s perspective , there is an spiritual angle to the whole event. This event is really close to the heart of the DB group. Money earned from Abhivyakti is used for charity reasons. Religious ceremony is personally done by Mrs Jyoti Agarwal daily including the prayers offered to 5 statues of Ganpati across the Abhivyakti ground. Passion and love involved in organising this show is the main reason behind its huge success. It’s surprising but true that Abhivyakti Garba Mahotsav has same team of Decorators, Sound System, Tent, Stage Artist, DJ and trainers since last 19 years

Run Bhopal Run

Founded in 2015, Bhopal Runners is non-profit society established with an aim to promote running and related activities as a way of life.The mission of Bhopal Runners is to make running as the most preferred form of fitness activity. BR is committed to strengthen the nexus between de-addiction of tobacco and other habit forming substances , Gender, Environmental issues & other Social issues in association with Government agencies and civil societies. This flagship event will be held every year on first Sunday of the month of December. Bhopal Runners seeks active participation and energy from the people to redirect, redesign and motivate to build “Fit and smart Bhopal”, to foster and promote distance running throughout Bhopal. In the inaugural year we had an astonishing registration of 10656 persons .We have envisioned and strived towards bringing to you a world-class running event, conducted as per international standards and we hope that you will find RBR 2016 on par with global races. Bhopal Runners acknowledges Hyderabad Runners as their mentor in its endeavour to be a world class running event organizer.

Jashn-E-Bhopal

The city of lakes is all set to have an unprecedented celebration at the Upper Lake this New Year’s Eve. The department of culture, tourism and the municipal corporation have come together to organize 'Jashn-e-Bhopal' with a laser show, music and dance performances along with a street food festival to usher in year 2020 The performances will take place on a jetty made on the surface of the lake.

Ijtema

Bhopal Tablighi Ijtema is an annual Islamic Ijtema (congregation) or Aalmi Ijtema held in Bhopal, India. The first ijtema was organised in 1949 at Masjid Shakoor Khan in Bhopal's old walled city. After the event grew, the venue was changed to Taj-ul-Masajid . Since 2005 because of the heavy crowd the venue has been shifted to Ghasipura, 11 km from Bhopal.

Ijtema is held on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday every year in November Jamaats gather from around the world. From 2018 Ijtema is held on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Increased a day. The congregation begins with Fajr salah on Friday morning followed by a series of lectures from different Muslim scholars and clerics. A break is given after dhuhr namaz. The programme continues all weekend and concludes with final prayers on Monday afternoon. Mass marriages also takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
